Public Building Authority assists Knox County Journalists on Election Night 2016
Greetings fellow journalists,
As we approach the end of the day and the closing of election polls we have a lot of uncertainty.We are hearing some reports that predict election night totals may not be complete till after midnight. Truth is we as a society have never experienced this type of voter interest. So the best plan is to prepare for a long night and hope for a short one.
That being said, I have taken the advance step of contacting Jayne Burritt, CEO of the Public Building Authority and she has granted the Knoxville media who will be covering the election from Knox County Election Headquarters, permission to use the 5th floor Room 549 so that if reporters want to eat snacks, or buy a pizza, they can have a place to eat and relax.
The room is open to all journalists.
