What most people do not know is that the City of Knoxville, currently has an amazing data collection of rainfall. You the reader can find that right here

However, it is a very outdated process that updates monthly. What those in the weather community are wondering is if the Mayor, will make this a priority much like the Lucas Device.

Accurate calibrated rainfall data is critical to both local weather forecasters and regional forecasters.  The price of calibrated weather stations has come down greatly.
